Tottenham player set to leave the club for good this summer
ANP

Tottenham loanee Tanguy Ndombele’s spell at Galatasaray is poised to come to an end, marred by a noticeable decline in performance, prompting concerns about his future.

The French midfielder, who joined Galatasaray on a season-long loan deal in September last year, has failed to impress sufficiently for the Turkish side, leading to the decision not to make his stay permanent.

According to Turkish outlet Sporx, as reported by TeamTalk, Galatasaray have opted against signing Ndombele permanently, indicating that he will depart the club at the end of the season.

The report adds that Ndombele is set to leave the the Turkish club ‘for good’ this summer and Tottenham will do all they can to get rid of him as he is not in Ange Postecoglou’s plans.

Ndombele’s current deal with Tottenham extends until 2025, prompting Spurs to prioritise a summer sale rather than risk losing him on a free transfer in the future.

Tanguy Ndombele’s failed stint at Galatasaray

Despite making 25 appearances for Galatasaray across various competitions this season, Ndombele has struggled to establish himself, accumulating just 656 minutes of playing time on the pitch.

Reports from Turkish sources have suggested dissatisfaction from Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk regarding Ndombele’s contributions, with rumors even circulating about a potential early termination of his loan deal due to a fallout with the manager.

Ndombele has been a flop signing for Tottenham

Since his club-record transfer from Lyon to Tottenham in 2019, the 27-year-old midfielder has failed to meet expectations, managing 91 appearances for Spurs and contributing with 10 goals and 9 assists. (Transfermarkt)

With Tottenham eager to offload Ndombele at the end of the season, the French international’s departure from the club appears imminent.

Should they fail to secure a buyer, Ndombele could potentially leave Tottenham on a free transfer next summer, marking a disappointing chapter in his tenure with the Lilywhites.
