Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford insists they can be positive after defeat at Manchester City.
City won 2-0 thanks to a late Erling Haaland brace.
Pickford later told evertontv: Against the top teams, you have to defend for the full game, and unfortunately, they had a couple of little moments.
Dominic (Calvert-Lewin) defended the first one really well, but the referee has given a corner. I don't know how he's seen that, but he's given a corner.
I don't know who called it - linesman or referee - but they have to help each other better there. On another day, if he doesn't score that, what may happen? But it wasn't to be today, and we just have to regroup, refocus, learn from the negatives, and keep the positives going."
He added: We have that framework of a defensive unit and working really well together from front to back. But then it's about the next step of taking more chances and getting on the end of things a bit better - scoring goals and putting teams under pressure.
Our away form has been really good, which it hasn't been for the past few years. We keep focusing on ourselves and keep getting wins when we can."
