‘Marketing genius’ Shaquille O’Neal pitches skydiving with LeBron James and JJ Redick
Isaiah J. Downing-USA TODAY Sports

The four-time NBA champion and Hall of Famer, Shaquille O’Neal has not failed to defy his age. At 52, Shaq is living the best of his life. The Diesel does DJing from time to time, hosts a halftime show, and does a boatload of activities. O’Neal engages with his fans through social media, being pretty active on all platforms. However, recently, Shaq proposed an idea to JJ Redick which had him shaken.

O’Neal often wants to experience the most, no matter his age. In the recent episode of JJ Redick‘s podcast, Shaq asked if he could go skydiving with JJ and LeBron James. However, this proposal wasn’t solely based on skydiving. O’Neal plans to market this idea along with James and Redick who run their podcast, Mind the Game.

I want to be young. You know what I'm going to do this summer, I'm going to a f****** water park... I'm gonna f****** skydive, I'm gonna do it. You want to do it with me? Skydiving? Me, you and LeBron? If ya'll f****** do it, I'm gonna do it. See, you don't even see, you look at me as a hater, you don't understand what I'm doing. I'm gonna f****** market it. If you and LeBron go skydiving, I'll do it. Shaquille O’Neal said

When it comes to exploring, Shaquille O’Neal is not afraid to experience anything that would bring him joy and make him feel young again. His idea of skydiving with James and Redick and gathering an audience seems like a genius plan. This comes after the Lakers parted ways with its entire coaching staff and are now on the hunt for a new head coach. Not only that, but Redick also seems quite keen on head coaching a team next season.

JJ Redick and LeBron James can form a dream team

With the Lakers looking for a head coach, they’ll have a lot of options to explore. From Mike Budenholzer to JJ Redick, the Lakers will be looking to select the ideal coach who can structure their roster better. If they do go for Redick, the amount of engagement they’ll receive from fans will be huge in numbers.

Redick and James are already partners in a podcast, discussing nothing but intricate details of the game. Redick can be a great option for the Lakers, though going for an experienced head coach would seem more feasible. The Lakers finished the season with a record of 47-35.

Looking back at how impact James and Anthony Davis were, a good few assets including a backup shooter as well as a scorer can help the team make it to the top six in the West. It will be interesting to see what changes the front office makes this offseason.
